Instead of getting gifts on her birthday on June 9, this idol is choosing to do something a little different! Hyeri from Girl’s Day has announced that she is choosing to be generous with her money on her birthday this year! She donated 50 million won to the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. Sublime, her agency, announced the donation.
Hyeri has become known for her generosity and compassion. In 2019, she became a member of the “Honor’s Club” which is the group of UNICEF’s top donors. That was after giving a 100 million won donation.
About the most recent donation, Hyeri said “Upon hearing the struggles of individuals forced to forgo medical treatment due to financial constraints, I felt compelled to contribute, hoping to inspire more people to envision a healthier future. While my birthday marks a personal milestone, I find immense joy in being able to share my happiness with others.”
Hyeri’s compassion is something to admire! Her example will inspire thousands of people that look up to her and her generosity will help thousands of people to receive the medical care that they desperately need. Happy birthday, Hyeri!
