As 2NE1 Nears 15th Anniversary, Reunion Rumors Heat Up

With 2NE1's 15th debut anniversary on the horizon, fans are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of a long-awaited reunion.

On June 25 KST, YG Entertainment stirred up the speculation by confirming, "Yang Hyun Suk, the executive producer, is set to meet with the members," while also stating, "There is nothing else we can confirm at this time."

According to media reports, the upcoming meeting between 2NE1 members and Yang Hyun Suk will focus on discussing a potential reunion and a special 15th-anniversary project. This news follows a report from last month revealing that Yang Hyun Suk and leader CL had already met. At that time, YG commented, "It was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm the details."

Fans' hopes were further fueled in May when 2NE1 celebrated their milestone anniversary with a group photo, signaling the possibility of something special in the works.

Since their debut in 2009, 2NE1 has delivered an array of iconic hits, including "Fire," "I Don't Care," "Clap Your Hands," "Lonely," "I Am the Best," and "Missing You." Despite disbanding in November 2016, the group made a memorable splash in April 2022 by reuniting for a performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States.
