Earlier this month, Kep1er released their first full-length album. However this will also be the last release for the group as a nine-piece, as members Kang Ye-seo and Sakamoto Mashiro have decided not to renew their contracts and will be departing the group in July. So what were the final photos of the group all together like?
Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Kep1er always looks great in pictures, and that hold true here. However, there are certainly some interesting choices here. The denim and lace outfits are a unique choice, but it’s not really clear what the theme of these photos is. Is it spring? Is it celebration? It feels like an odd blend between wistful, sad, and lighthearted, so I’m not sure what these pictures are supposed to convey.
The next photos with the black outfits and silver accents feel a lot more like a definitive sendoff. These convey a sense of power and majesty for the group. They’re quite effective at giving the full group one last great moment together while also setting up the trajectory for the continuing members to keep staying amazing. Whether with the group or departing, we hope all the members the best as they move forward into the next phases of life!
