ILLIT (Korean: 아일릿) is an all-female K-pop group based in South Korea and formed by Belift Lab. JTBC ran the ten-episode R U Next? series from June-September 2023. 22 contestants competed to become part of a six-member girl group under Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE. HYBE had previously debuted LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans.
At the end of the show, four members were chosen by the producers and two were chosen through fan vote. Wonhee, Youngseo, Minju, Iroha, Moka, and Yunah were revealed as the final 6, but Youngseo eventually left the group prior to their debut. The group released the mini album Super Real Me on March 25, 2024 and smashed records with the single “Magnetic.”
