TripleS Members' Housing Choices Spark Controversy at Fan Meeting

TripleS members' decision to opt for independent living during inactive periods has stirred up controversy within the fan community. Sohyun, Hyerin, Jiwoo, and Yooyeon are among those planning to move out of the group dorms – a move that has divided opinions among loyal fans.

Tensions reached a boiling point at a recent TripleS fan meeting, where photos surfaced depicting a fan ignoring member Sohyun, visibly refusing interaction. Screenshots revealing an organized boycott further fueled the backlash, with instructions for attendees not to engage with certain members and even to turn their backs when facing them.

In response to the incident, the protesting fan was swiftly identified and subsequently blacklisted from future TripleS fan meetings, marking a significant repercussion within the fanbase.

Others within the fanbase were appalled that fans were attempting to boycott the group. Some fans online were found saying things like “Normal people wouldn’t be upset about something like this,” and “Why would you do that? What’s wrong with them not staying at the dorm?” This shows that it is not the entire fanbase that is upset about the development, and it seems to have divided the fanbase.

The controversy highlights the complexities of fan-group dynamics, underscoring the emotional investment fans have in their idols' personal choices and lifestyles. TripleS will need to navigate these challenges, but we know the group remains committed to their music. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming days. TripleS is still a young group – hopefully this doesn’t kill their momentum before it’s already begun.
