There’s a relatively unknown YouTuber named zana who may have just made the remix of the summer. Although it has only 600,000 views after 2 months, we anticipate that number exploding once more diehard ILLIT fans stumble across this remix.
The concept is simple: offset the vocal track and the instrumental by 7 seconds and see what happens.
What ensues is 1) a testament to just how perfect “Magnetic” is from top to bottom in terms of hooks, arrangement, and production flourishes and 2) completely flips everything on its head by shifting those flourishes and pairing them with other key moments on the song.
The entire piece feels different. It’s less focused on physical beats and pauses for choreography and feels like it’s more geared towards lyrics and emotion. Some parts of the song just hit different in the best way.
