Sales blitz: BLITZERS smashes their personal records

It’s been quite the week for K-pop boy band BLITZERS. Their fourth EP, LUNCH-BOX, dropped yesterday. The June 19 release was spearheaded by the lead single “SUPERPOWER.” Previously, their biggest success was their song “Macarena,” which sold 20,000 units on its first day.

Today, however, BLITZERS is waking up to a new personal best. LUNCH-BOX sold 32,046 copies in its first 24 hours, according to the Hanteo chart and our earlier reporting today. That means the album is off to a strong start – especially for a smaller group like BLITZERS.

On top of that, the official MV for “SUPERPOWER” has 1.5 million views in a mere 21 hours. That’s some explosive growth. In 24 hours it’s already one of their 10 most popular YouTube videos of all time. For reference, their most popular music video is the one for “Macarena,” which has 14 million in a year. If this growth keeps up, “SUPERPOWER” will be their most successful MV to date in only a matter of weeks.

BLITZERS is an all-male South Korean group under Wuzo Entertainment Active since 2021, the group consists of six members: Jinhwa, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan and Wooju. Go_U left the group in January 2024, and this is their first release without him.
