An exclusive report from allkpop.com recently reported that specific members of the group were staying while others were saying goodbye. Turns out that deal wasn’t set in stone.
Kep1er’s contract negotiations have been ongoing, and so far the remaining 7 members have not reached a final agreement. Nothing is off the table. Kang Yaseo and Mashiro could stay on. Or Kep1er’s contracts could not be renewed for all 9 members, and the group may have to disband entirely.
CJ ENM has released a brief official statement. All it says is: “We're currently in discussion with the members and their respective agencies regarding contract renewals."
