HIGHLIGHT has their old name back!

K-pop group HIGHLIGHT has now regained the right to use B2ST as their name. Formerly known as B2ST (or Beast), the group had to change their name when they moved from Cube Entertainment to Around Us Entertainment in 2017. However, they recently reached an agreement with their former label to allow them to use B2ST and perform songs from their old catalog.

They announced this to fans at their “LIGHTS GO ON, AGAIN” concert in Seoul on May 11. Bandmate Dongwoon said, “We thought of the storyline when we were coming up with the setlist for this performance. In the beginning, we sang HIGHLIGHT songs, and now during this section of the show, we sang B2ST songs. During the last section of the show, we are going to sing songs about the future that we are going to make together. The important thing is that we have been by each other's side in the past, and present, and we will continue to do so in the future."

What this means for the band’s future branding remains unclear. But one thing is for sure: fans can expect to hear old B2ST favorites like “Bad Girl,” “Shock,” and “Special” at upcoming shows.
