By the Numbers: Are K-pop Fans Buying Vinyl?

Vinyl has experienced a wild resurgence as of late. But how many of those vinyl record sales are fans buying K-pop music?

Sadly, an increasingly dwindling number.

The current K-pop market is experiencing a massive downturn in vinyl sales. Records priced at $30-45 USD are currently selling for roughly 50% off, largely due to inflation and persistent quality problems with Korean vinyl pressings.

The US is continuing its upward vinyl trend, with no end to the boom in sight. But in South Korea, there has been a 40 percent decrease in domestic sales compared to last year.
