Ruling over K-pop from 2017 to 2019, Wanna One was and arguably still is one of the most successful and influential project groups the industry has seen. After officially disbanding following their contract expiration in early 2019, the group is set to reunite in its new reality show, WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base.

On April 1, global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus released the first teaser of Wanna One’s new reality show — and this was no April Fool’s joke. In addition to short clips of what fans can expect from this reunion, the teaser includes the members’ candid reactions and moments they’re excited for fans to see. Upon the teaser’s release, longtime Wannables (Wanna One’s fandom) flocked to the video and immediately began buzzing about the prospects of seeing the group interact again after seven years.

It’s safe to say this is a moment fans have been longing for. Within 24 hours, the teaser had already surpassed 4.5 million views across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, proving that even after all these years, Wanna One’s popularity hasn’t waned one bit. Even the show’s pre-teaser content, which was first released back in January, has reached over 15 million views at this point. "I don't know how many times I replayed the short video," Hwang Min-hyun said in the reaction video. "I felt firsthand that many people still miss Wanna One.”

Premiering first on Mnet Plus on April 28 at 6 pm KST, WANNA ONE GO: Back To Base will focus on the members catching up since their last performance reunion back in 2022. The show will subsequently air on Mnet proper the same day at 8 pm KST. Through fun games and activities such as playing Mafia and chicken fight, fans will get to experience the group’s full range of emotions and memories while promoting as Wanna One. Member Park Woojin reflects on the memories made while filming, ensuring that it’ll be something both the group and Wannables will cherish for years to come: "When members meet privately, we always talk about 'Wanna One Go' the most."
