It’s finally happening. SUNMI, the legendary soloist, is returning with her first-ever full-length studio album this November.

Titled HEART MAID, the record was announced today alongside a playful set of teaser images featuring SUNMI dressed in a Victorian-esque maid outfit. In one, she is seen cuddling a giant heart alongside the caption: “I made this with all my heart, for you.” Meanwhile, another image declares that “I’ll take care of what hurts your heart, for you” as SUNMI coolly rests atop a kitchen knife. 

Elsewhere, the teaser images make another declaration: “All track[s] maid by SUNMI” – a play on the album’s title and costume, while seemingly confirming that SUNMI has played a major role in all of the music; she has previously earned writing and production credits on prior hits like “Gashina,” “Heroine” and “pporappippam”. 

The album is set for release on November 5th, 2025 at 6PM KST, and will feature thirteen songs. Two tracks have been previously released: “BLUE” was released this summer, while “Balloon in Love” is from June 2024. This gives the tracklist an unusual flavor for K-pop albums, where most songs are not typically released that far in advance – but leave it to SUNMI to try something new and keep audiences constantly guessing what her next move might be.
